Tour Groups
Whether reunion groups, Honor Flights, family reunions or tourists visiting Washington DC, the United States Navy Memorial hosts thousands of veterans each year from all over the country and major cities like Kansas City, Austin, and Buffalo to more regional areas like Central Valley, California and West Central Florida.
It is our highest honor to host veterans, hear their stories, recognize their sacrifices, and celebrate their service to our country. We are able to deliver our mission to its fullest extent when we host our veterans.
Veteran Group Visits
The United States Navy Memorial welcomes all Service Members, Veterans, and their families. We are pleased to welcome visits from various Veteran Groups, including the Honor Flight Network, as these heroes are the focus of our mission to Honor, Recognize and Celebrate the men and women of the sea services, past, present and future; and to Inform the public about their service.

The Lone Sailor stands as a symbol of every person who has served, is serving, or may one day choose to serve our nation at sea.
Through the United States Navy Memorial’s Lone Sailor Pin Program, veterans and young visitors receive a pin as a keepsake from their visit—and as a reminder of the generations connected by service.
For veterans, the Lone Sailor pin is a small expression of our gratitude and a reminder that their service remains part of the story we preserve and share every day.
For young visitors, it represents something still ahead: an introduction to the values of service, courage, leadership, and commitment—and an invitation to consider how they might serve their own communities and country in the future.

Connecting Generations Through the Navy Memorial
Every year, the United States Navy Memorial welcomes veterans, service members, students, families, and visitors from across the country.
Through tours, educational programs, exhibits, ceremonies, and opportunities to hear directly from those who served, the Navy Memorial helps visitors discover the people and experiences behind our naval history.
