Navy Memorial Sea Service Exhibit Series
This series brings history to life for members of the Navy Memorial Student Interview Program by loaning authentic historical artifacts that enrich, inspire, and deepen understanding of Sea Service history.
Launched in 2025, the Navy Memorial Sea Service Exhibit Series brings history to life for members of the Navy Memorial Student Interview Program by loaning authentic historical artifacts that enrich, inspire, and deepen understanding of Sea Service history.
Developed in close collaboration with Veteran Ship Associations and other partners, the series features unique artifacts and ship models accompanied by detailed narratives designed to provide meaningful historical context and connection. These exhibits foster hands‑on learning and invite participants to engage directly with the stories of those who served.
Many artifacts featured in the series are directly connected to Veterans’ histories preserved in the Navy Memorial Interview Archive, highlighting the powerful connection between personal stories and historical preservation. Together, these exhibits reflect the many ways the Navy Memorial Education Department works to educate the public and preserve the legacy of the Sea Services.
