The United States Navy Memorial Plaza is conveniently located on Pennsylvania Avenue, half way between the White House and the United States Capitol, and across the street from the National Archives. Millions of people visit the Memorial each year as we Honor, Recognize and Celebrate the men and women of the Sea Services, past, present, and future; and inform the public about their service.
Experience one of the largest maps in the world, “Granite Sea”, the iconic Lone Sailor© statue, towering masts with signal flags, fountain pools and waterfalls and 22 bronze sculptures depicting Navy history.

Did you know the National Park Service is one of the Navy Memorial's oldest partners?
Memorial Plaza is managed by NPS and there is a National Park Service Ranger led tour each day at 10am and 2pm at the Lone Sailor statue.
