Battle of Midway Wreath-Laying Ceremony (80th Anniversary)

Military historians have called the Battle of Midway the most stunning victory in naval warfare … one of the most consequential naval engagements in world history. Our incredible men and women of the Sea Services enacted a relentless campaign against the Japanese and forced them to retreat.

This battle was a major turning point during World War II — a decisive victory for the Americans and a substantial blow to Japanese forces, from which they never recovered. And it was all thanks to the strategy, bravery, and heroism of our Sea Service members.

Please join the Navy Memorial for a Wreath-Laying Ceremony in honor of the 80th Anniversary of the Battle of Midway.

When: Monday, June 6th at 10:00am ET
