The John Paul Jones Society recognizes individuals, couples, families, trusts, and foundations that have included the United States Navy Memorial in their estate or planned giving arrangements. 

Members of the Society help ensure that the Navy Memorial remains a living tribute to the men and women of the Sea Services for generations to come. Their generosity strengthens the foundation for the Navy Memorial’s future and supports our enduring mission to Honor, Recognize, and Celebrate the men and women of the Sea Services, past, present, and future; and Inform the public about their service. 

A planned gift is more than a financial commitment. It is a statement of values. It is a way to preserve history, honor service, and carry forward the stories of those who have stood the watch.

How to Become a Member 

You are eligible for membership in the John Paul Jones Society if you have included the Navy Memorial in your: 

  • Will or living trust 

  • Retirement plan beneficiary designation 

  • Life insurance policy 

  • Donor advised fund succession plan 

  • Charitable trust 

  • Estate plan 

  • Foundation or other planned giving arrangement 

There is no minimum gift amount required to join. We simply ask that you notify us of your intentions so we may thank you, welcome you into the Society, and ensure your wishes are properly documented.
