Learning Pathways are the groups under which we organize our educational content, and present as an intuitive navigation tool for our online viewers from our Education landing page.  Each Learning Pathway offers unique opportunities through a variety of interactive activities designed to engage and enrich student learning for grades kindergarten through 12th grade.

Lessons have been developed by elementary, middle, and high school teachers. The lessons and activities are intended for specific grade levels but may also be presented in succession to build upon skills learned in previous lessons. Each lesson has an intended grade in mind but may be given at the teacher’s discretion. Each activity has a recommended lesson plan attached to guide educators who wish to employ our lessons and activities in the classroom.

In accordance with our Sea Service theme, Deck 1 lessons are intended for grades K-1 and Deck 5 is intended for grades 10-12. Some educators who teach high school may wish to give their students a Deck 2 lesson to introduce a topic before presenting more challenging material. The lessons reflect cumulative activities in sequence intended for Grades K-1 (Deck 1), 2-3 (Deck 2), 4-6 (Deck 3), 7-9 (Deck 4), and 10-12 (Deck 5). Lessons are designed to be given in succession or to a specific grade level.

Absolutely, we invite you to share lessons and activities with us to promote greater collaboration and partnerships. Educators who submit lessons and activities to education@navymemorial.org may have their contributions nationally honored and recognized on the Navy Memorial Education website.

Answer keys are not published on the website, teachers are asked to email education@navymemorial.org from their school email to request answer keys.
