Technology and Graphics Manager

The mission of the Foundation is “to Honor, Recognize and Celebrate the men and women of the Sea Services, past, present and future, and to Inform the public about their service.” With a $5M+ annual budget, the Foundation completes our mission with a Visitor Center, 230-person Arleigh Burke Theatre, Navy Log, Ship’s Store, and office spaces located adjacent to the United States Navy Memorial (Plaza).
Nature of the Position
The Technology and Graphics Manager is the lead technician at the Navy Memorial for digital productions, digital media website administrator, manager of all IT equipment, and produces creative visual and graphic designs needed for events, livestreams, videos, and print marketing materials and exhibits.
Key Qualifications
2-4 years of proven experience in digital productions, visual and graphic designs, maintaining Information Technology
Proven proficiency with Adobe After Effects, Premier Pro, Photoshop, Indesign, etc.
Experience using Tricaster during a live show, preferably a TriCaster 2 ELite (3rU Chassis)
Comprehensive experience to execute all audio-visual aspects and technical production requirements of Navy Memorial online programming
Ability to proficiently livestream and customize live video platforms like Youtube and Vimeo
Working knowledge of SquareSpace or other similar web design platforms
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Experience working on a variety of projects with strict deadlines and high bar for quality of work
Ability to work with and manage a team of technicians for efficient event production
Work in partnership with Navy Memorial Team to collaborate on successful digital productions
Service in or experience with the US Navy is favorable, but not required
Duties & Responsibilities:
Creating excellent digital experiences
Edit live and recorded video productions via Adobe Premier that include both high-quality live content and seamlessly integrated pre-recorded elements
Set event technology and lead set up of all technical aspects of digital events
Be in-person support for all live and digital events
Create technical run of show for all live and digital events
Creating compelling visuals
Create visual and graphic designs for Navy Memorial, to include digital media websites, online productions, videos, exhibits and printed marketing materials
Create visuals for online productions via Adobe AfterEffects, InDesign, PremierPro, etc.to include lower thirds, running headers, bugs, animated openings, and more
Serve as the liaison for the staff with the Navy Memorial’s Managed Service Provider
Managing Information Technology
Maintain the technical equipment of the Navy Memorial, including live production equipment, theater audio and video projection, and office IT equipment
Serve as lead point of contact for Managed Service Provider, ensuring their performance meets contract requirements
Serve as digital media website administrator, responsible for the architecture and design updates of Vimeo.com and YouTube.com
Support current employees and onboard new employee IT requirements; Order and setup laptops, facilitate desktop configuration, connect to VPN, install office software, connect to printers, ensure that all IT equipment assigned to employees is recorded in the payroll system (iSolved) etc.
Maintain all IT Policies and Monitor Replacement Plan, recommend policy changes as necessary
Organize IT related training through out the year for the team (i.e.Microsoft365, Cybersecurity, CRM, etc.).
Review and update IT Plan on a monthly and annual basis.
Review and update assigned areas of the mission metrics on a monthly and annual basis.
Compiles, organizes and manages the database of digital assets to include all photographs and videos
Measures of Performance
Creation of high-quality digital events
Meet deadlines and partner with other USNM departments to collaborate on a successful
video production
Implementing executive direction into creative visions
High level of graphic and visual design quality
Accuracy in information placed on ads (Sponsor Logos, USNM Branding Guidelines, etc.).
Thorough maintenance, upgrading and inventory management of all IT equipment
Ease of transitions for employees needing onboarding and offboarding assistance with office
technology
Accurate IT inventory
Work collaboratively with the TEAM
