Junior Ranger Program

"Explore, Learn, and Protect!"

This is the motto of Junior Rangers around the world who are working hard to make a difference.  In partnership with the National Park Service, we have created a unique opportunity for young visitors to explore and learn about their national parks, and discover how they can help protect them. Become a Junior Ranger and a steward of the Navy Memorial and other national parks today.

The Navy Memorial has teamed up the National Park Service to preserve our national parks, one Junior Ranger at a time. By joining the National Park Service Junior Ranger program, young visitors have the opportunity to become experts on what it means to “Explore, Learn, and Protect!”

These young visitors, usually ages 5-13, will complete a series of outdoor activities and educational exercises. Upon completion, they will receive an official Junior Ranger patch and Junior Ranger certificate welcoming them in to the National Park Service Family.

Junior Rangers make a world of difference in protecting national treasures like Memorial Plaza and our iconic Lone Sailor Statue. Take the pledge to make a difference in our national parks today.

On this page, you will find interactive activities that can be printed or completed online. Once you have completed all of the activities, email each of the completed booklet pages to receive your Junior Sailor Badge and certificate. There are a total of 12 activities. Send completed booklets to: educationdepartment@navymemorial.org
