Established on April 1, 1893, the rank of Chief Petty Officer represents the backbone of the United States Navy. Each year, the National Capital Region Navy Chiefs host a special birthday celebration at the Navy Memorial to honor, recognize, and celebrate the enduring leadership and legacy of Navy Chiefs. Join us as the U.S. Navy Band and U.S. Ceremonial Guard mark this proud tradition, culminating in a moving recitation of the Chief’s Creed.
