Wills
Including the United States Navy Memorial in you will, trust or estate will allow you to leave a long lasting legacy and to support the Memorial’s broad-based mission to honor the men and women of America’s Sea Services – past, present, and future. Those who leave bequests to the Memorial will also join the Naval Heritage Fleet and be honored with a display in the Naval Heritage Center.
If you have already decided to include the Memorial in your will, the appropriate legal language is below:
“I give, devise or bequeath to the United States Navy Memorial Foundation, 701 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Suite #123, Washington, D.C., 20004-2608, the sum of $______________ to be used for the general purposes of the United States Navy Memorial Foundation.”
or
“I give, devise or bequeath to the United States Navy Memorial Foundation, 701 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Suite #123, Washington, D.C., 20004-2608, for its general purposes, _______% of the rest, residue or remainder of my estate, whether real or personal.”
If you have already included the Memorial in your estate plans, please take a minute to print, fill out and send to us this Will Notification Form to let us know of your intentions. Since estate plans are sometimes sensitive, we respect your confidentiality and will understand if you choose not to inform us.
