The Naval Heritage Center is located in the heart of the Penn Quarter and offers visitors the chance to learn about the history and heritage of the men and women of the United States Navy – past, present and future. Just off the Memorial plaza, the center has timely and informative interactive exhibits in the Gallery Deck and screens several movies daily, including the Discovery Channel's "At Sea" and "A Year in the Life of A Navy Supply Corps Officer."

Conveniently located on Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. (between 7th and 9th Streets), the United States Navy Memorial honors the men and women of the United States Navy – past, present and future.

Navy Memorials Around the Country

Click on the cities listed below and view their Lone Sailor or Homecoming statue placed there as part of the Navy Memorial’s Statue Outreach Program which began in 1997 with the placement of the Lone Sailor statue at the Recruit Training Center in Great Lakes, IL.

Organizations or individuals wishing to have a flag flown over the United States Navy Memorial can order a 3ft. x 5ft. nylon flag (with grommets for flying) through the Ships Store online.
